Yolo County staff is putting together a comprehensive blueprint for our American Rescue Plan funds with the goal of funding transformational projects that improve the lives of our communities and residents.
Staff will be seeking community input to prioritize projects, refine ideas, and ensure that the projects that get funded are not duplicative (cities, school districts, state funding). Projects should invigorate our communities and be aligned with the strategic goals of the County.
The American Rescue Plan is a federal stimulus plan approved by Congress and President Biden that provides $350 billion of stimulus funding to State and Local governments. Yolo County will receive approximately $42.8 million.
Projects that support the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, address negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency, replace lost public sector revenue, provide premium pay for essential workers and invest in water, sewer and broadband infrastructure are eligible for American Rescue Plan funding.
